The Business and Entrepreneurship Academy Charter High School has attracted significant support from Lehigh Valley, PA leaders from all sectors. The common interest is finding a better way to educate the next generation of leaders in a way that deals with all the challenges of the 21st Century. First, that means overcoming the numerous social and societal barriers that hold back so many kids. Second, that means helping all students gain not only a strong academic foundation but also the leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and innovation skills required to be successful in today’s rapidly changing, global creative economy.

Initial assistance for the development of the charter school application and an appropriate physical facility has been provided by developer Abe Atiyeh and his consultant Joe Lewis. However, the drive and support to make the Business and Entrepreneurship Academy Charter High School a new paradigm for the future of public education has come from a broad group of community leaders who are designated as the Founder’s Board. This group has helped to shape the vision and direction for the school, and it is selecting the nine member board that will bring the vision to life by actually operating the school once its charter is approved.
